This time of year is the busiest for most photographers. I had weddings six Saturdays in a row and have spent a majority of my time lately in my office editing fall family and engagement sessions. Plus, an amazing couple, whose wedding I had the opportunity to photograph earlier this year, flew me down to Florida for 22 hours to photograph them on the beach (and I was traveling about 13 1/2 of those hours!) Yes, I know my job and clients are amazing! I had to close my books for the year and turn away clients in early October. Saying no is not something I’ve ever had to do before so I felt (and still feel) terrible for turning away clients this fall but hopefully I will catch the clients I missed this spring!
I have been taking photos for years but this May was the real start of my photography business. I am amazed at the beautiful, kind people I’ve had the opportunity to photograph in 2010. I have been extremely fortunate and I feel as though I’ve grown, professionally and personally, so much in the last year. Thanks to all my fabulous clients…your loyalty and support mean the world to me!
Now down to the really fun stuff…placing orders for Christmas…
Print orders need to be placed by December 8th for First Class mail and December 11th for Priority Mail. I will be out of the country December 12-19th taking a much needed and very much anticipated vacation. My husband and two of our best friends and I will be drinking fruity drinks I can’t pronounce the names of and lying by the beach to celebrate a successful and eventful 2010. Any emails or orders placed during this time will not be fulfilled until I return on December 20th (and you will not receive them until the week after Christmas). I would love to make exceptions and take my computer with me but my husband and friends have voiced their opinion that “I MUST RELAX!!” on this trip. That means no computer and no phone. Wow…I’m not sure how I’ll survive a week without technology!
And finally, I am excited about my adorable new packaging and gift certificates I am now offering my clients. Please contact me at email@example.com to give a friend or family member a photography gift certificate this Christmas (all orders must be places by December 8th to receive before Christmas)
I have so many amazing sessions and weddings I need to post but I haven’t been able to work that in to my schedule of shooting, editing, emailing, eating and sleeping. First, here’s one of my favorites from a recent senior session…
